ENJOY WEST CORNWALL IN OUR TWO EXCEPTIONAL HOLIDAY BARNS
When you’ve spent the day exploring all that Cornwall has to offer, what you want to look forward to is a comfortable, peaceful place to stay where you have everything you need. Our two properties sleep only two people. We do welcome babes in arms by arrangement, but no small children or pets.
Situated at the end of a private drive in mature extensive grounds, these two barn conversions are very different from each other; one is the traditional country cottage on two levels complete with a woodburning stove and cathedral ceiling, whilst the other is all on one level with a walk-in wet room and very modern indeed. Both properties are well appointed and extremely well equipped with everything you need for a perfect holiday.
The setting is very quiet and tranquil. The garden is yours to explore. There’s no traffic noise and plenty of accessible walks all around. Although both properties are set around a large courtyard which also includes the owners’ property, privacy is guaranteed. There is so much space. No one is overlooked.
The garden itself has a small lake with abundant wildlife. Resident breeding moorhens, visiting ducks, herons and buzzards. The garden seat is the ideal spot to watch all nature’s comings and goings with a coffee or something stronger!
The barns are just three miles from the market town of Helston which is well served by supermarkets and is the access point to explore The Lizard. Also just three miles in a slightly different direction is Porthleven which is fast becoming a gastronomic destination with restaurants, bistros and pubs nestled around a picturesque working harbour.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

As a guide, for a 7 day stay:
Chywood Barn – from a minimum of £650 to a maximum of £750.
The Barn – from a minimum of £750 to a maximum of £900.
The maximum price reflects the ‘highest’ season.
(We reserve the right to add a supplement to the weekly rental should the UK wide electricity price suffer another massive surge in cost. This would be advised to you before your arrival).
Arrivals And Departures
All rentals are for a one week minimum.
Changeover day is Saturday.
Arrivals by arrangement but generally not before 3 pm.
Departures by 10 am the following Saturday.
About The Owners
Chris and Andrew moved to Chywood Farm from Berkshire in 2003. After various battles with the planning authorities, they got permission to convert an old ‘cutting room’ (from when Chywood was indeed a farm with a butchers shop) into the second holiday rental property which opened in 2010.

On arrival you will be personally welcomed and shown around and shown how things work! From that point, you may bump into each other from time to time and they are always on hand to answer any queries or offer activity/restaurant advice. Should you wish to organise a supermarket delivery to coincide with your arrival, that is perfectly fine.

Terms and Conditions
Our terms are 50% on booking non-refundable deposit to secure the booking, with the balance payable three weeks before arrival. Should cancellation be necessary, depending on the lead time we would endeavour to re-let the booking and if successful, would then return the initial deposit. We strongly recommend all our visitors to take out UK holiday insurance at a minimal cost to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
